"F" is for Fun
Working out our issues, healing our injuries (both physical and spiritual) and finding/following our path can be a lot of hard work. But that doesn't mean we can't have fun along the way. Here's a few ideas to get you started:
+ go for a walk in the woods
+ try out the swings down at the park
+ walk a labyrinth
+ paint with finger paint
+ jump in a puddle
+ sing really loud
+ dance to a silly song
+ watch the moon rise
If you don't feel comfortable doing these things on your own, recruit a kid to go along with you. Kids really know how to have fun!
If you never did, you should. These things are fun, and fun is good. Dr. Seuss
Watch the moon rise... I like that.
ReplyDeleteI like all these options and I have four nephews who will gladly help me. Great F post. :)
ReplyDeleteExcellent F word!
ReplyDeleteI find a large part of having fun is appreciating the value of whatever I happen to be doing at the time. When I'm writing, I have fun with the words I use. When I'm writing TO somebody, I have fun finding positives to say (some people make that easier than others; but challenges can be fun too!)
C.L. - that's my favourite on the list too!
ReplyDeleteMelissa - you're so lucky to have 4 nephews to play with!
Mojo - so true! We can't always make separate time for fun - the real gem is finding the fun in what we HAVE to do rather than want we WANT to do.
