Sound Healing

S is for Sound

Last year my A-Z entry for the letter "S" was Sound Healing - you can read it here.

You might be wondering why I would choose the same subject again this year.  Well, I'm taking a different approach.   Rather than expect you to read about the benefits of sound healing,  I'll let you experience sound healing for yourself.  Right here.  Right now.

David Hickey is an incredibly talented sound healer who travels across North America with his Crystal Journey tour.  David's stated mission is "To create expansive, improvised and beautiful music, to awaken consciousness, to promote peace and to restore balance of the self and the planet."

Click on the play button and give it a try.  Keep an open mind and listen for at least three minutes - it takes him that long to really get things going.  And close your eyes so you're not distracted by watching him play.

I hope you enjoyed it!

  3. Ya, I haven't purchased a crystal bowl for the same reason. The small metal singing bowls were more in my price range so I have one of those instead.

  7. Sounds are amazing. Why does my autistic grandson love Mozart? I think it's because Mozart also captures sound that connects with a special area, peace and contentment, in the brain. Tai Chi is something I would like to try.

    1. I think music speaks where words can't because matter is energy and energy is vibration and so is music.

Hope you get a chance to try Tai Chi.

  9. Healing with sounds was practiced since ages which comprised of sounds of flute, bowls, chanting of mantras etc. But Sound therapy is more precise in the field of natural therapies. Healing with sounds improves and transforms a range of physical and emotional states. There are certain sounds of the nature which relieves and rejuvenate human mind and soul like sounds of river or sea waves, waterfalls, chanting of “OM” and mantras, wind chimes and bells. Healing sounds can be incorporated into many types of healing methods, such as meditation.
